Today, this blog implemented RPX, so commenting is even easier than before. Use multiple protocols including OpenID, Facebook, Yahoo, and others.
RPXNow seems to make it a bit easier for users to log in and comment, but there are some possible disadvantages of using RPX.
Facebook Connect is a new, proprietary technology that facebook released in 2008. As it states on their site:
Facebook Connect is the next evolution of Facebook Platform – enabling you to integrate the power of Facebook Platform into your own site.
While considering a plugin that allows the viewers of brettshaffer.com to comment using their facebook accounts (via facebook connect), I’ve come across three WP Plugins that may be up for consideration.
The first: WP-FacebookConnect
The second: The “Community Facebook Connect Plugin”
The third: Sociable’s FB Connect Plugin
I’ll be doing some testing to see how each of them works over the next week or so.
